Argentina is located in South America ‘s southern cone. It encompasses 2,337 square miles and is home to more than 47,000,000 inhabitants. Given its large size, Argentina hosts a variety of geographic wonders and ecosystems including fertile river plains, glaciers, jungles, beaches, deserts, and the highest mountains in the Western hemisphere.
ARGENTINA
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL
Arrival to Ezeiza International Airport. Check in to the hotel in Buenos Aires, the country’s largest city and cultural and political capital.
DAY 2 – BUENOS AIRES
Tour through beautiful Buenos Aires. We will explore important historical and cultural places such as Plaza de Mayo, The Pink House, Puerto Madero, San Telmo, Plaza Dorrego, La Boca, and La Bombonera.
DAY 3 – BUENOS AIRES FREE DAY
Free days are a good time to catch up on any rest you may need from your travels or there are endless amounts of places to explore.
Suggested activities include: Exploring the beautiful neighborhoods, architecture, numerous museums, eateries, and local shopping.
DAY 4 – EL CALAFATE
Your group will fly to El Calafate and visit the famous geological center, Museum Glaciarium. This will help the group understand what we will be seeing in Day 4. After the Museum, the group will visit Yeti Ice, the best ice bar in downtown Calafate.
DAY 5 – GLACIER NATIONAL PARK
On this day we will explore the world renown glacier Perito Moreno. The glaciers movements create impressive sounds that tell of its continual advance. We will have lunch at one of the restaurants overlooking the glacier. After lunch we will go on a nautical safari on Rico Lake. There, we will explore Perito Moreno’s immense walls close up for around one hour.
DAY 6 – MAYO ESTANCIA RESERVE
Optional ”Safari Experience” – This tour of the famous national reserve has a plethora of unique flora and fauna. Your group will also have the opportunity to explore marine fossils. Other activities can be planned for those who may not be interested in the reserve.
DAY 7 – TRAVEL TO USHUAIA
Breakfast and free time until flight to Ushuaia. This city is the southern most city in the world. You might be lucky enough to see whales and penguins!
DAY 8 – USHUAIA
An incredible trip to Beagle Canal where your group will travel to Sea Lion Island. This island, as you might guess, has an incredible number of Sea Lions and other marine life.
DAY 9 – USHUAIA
Today the group will travel to Tierra del Fuego National Park and the ”Train to the End of the World.” This beautiful national park contains antarctic ñires, cherry trees, river, lakes, and peat bogs. We will also see archaeological remnants of the Yámana people.
DAY 10 – LAGO ESCONDIDO Y FAGNANO
The group will travel to the northeastern region of Tierra del Fuego. Our destination arrives at an incredible panoramic view of a hidden lake. From here, the group can choose to continue to the lake by foot or by bus. Afterwords, the group will visit a ski resort before returning back to the hotel.
DAY 11 – USHUAIA
Breakfast and free time. We recommend shopping souvenirs or chocolates. After that, we will go to the airport and travel back to Buenos Aires.
DAY 12 – BACK TO BUENOS AIRES
Arrival to Jorge Newbery international airport at Buenos Aires. Transport to hotel. Activities TBD
DAY 13 – BUENOS AIRES FREE DAY
Free days are a good time to catch up on any rest you may need from your travels or there are endless amounts of places to explore.
Suggested activities include: Exploring the beautiful neighborhoods, architecture, numerous museums, eateries, and local shopping.
DAY 14 – DEPARTURE
Transport to Ezeiza international airport for return.
