Experience a 12 day trip exploring the cities and culture of Japan. Immersing yourself in the Japanese culture will be an unforgettable experience. This “home stay” experience will have you sightseeing historic Japanese shrines and temples, lounging on beautiful beaches, enjoying a great marine biology experience, and Atomic Bomb education. All meals included (may vary based on exchange rate and airline taxes). Not ready to leave after 12 days? Our 4 day Taiwan Extension will end the trip in memorable fashion!

To officially reserve your spot, we will need you to fill out and sign the official application and release form above and get your application to your group leader with your deposit. However, we can get your reservation started with the following easy steps.

Pay your $325 reservation deposit via check. Please make out any checks to "ARCE" and give them to your group leader.
JAPAN
DAY 3 – EXPERIENCE OSAKA
See the sights of Osaka. Visit Osaka Museum, Osaka Castle, and Osaka Castle Park.
DAY 5 – NARA (+ SCHOOL DAY)
Spend the day in Nara exploring the park, where most of the city’s atractions are found, along with sacred deer thought to be messangers for the gods in the olden days.
SCHOOL DAY: Shodo, Karate
DAY 6 – HIROSHIMA
Travel to Hiroshima and start the journey visiting the Himeju Castle. Built in the 1600s, it can be reached from Kyoto by train.
DAY 7 – HIROSHIMA/MIYAJIMA
DAY 9 – ONOMICHI
Today you will have the opportunity to visit a local Japanese High School and participate in typical Japanese cultural activities. Activities may include Judo, Kendo, Tea Ceremony, Shodo and cooking.
DAY 10 – MATSUYAMA
The city is known for its hot springs (onsen), among the oldest in Japan, and is home to the Dōgo Onsen Honkan, a Meiji Period wooden public bathhouse dating from 1894. A second favorite tourist spot is Matsuyama Castle. Eight of the eighty-eight temples in the Shikoku Pilgrimage are in Matsuyama.

DAY 11 – FUKUOKA
Today you will travel to Fukuoka. On the way we will stop at Daizafu Shrine for sightseeing and shopping. Optional Ryokan stop at Yanagawa. Yanagawa is a city on Japan’s Kyushu island. It’s known for its many canals, which are navigated on small boats.
